Buyer sought for Craythorne course

British golf property specialist GVA Humberts Leisure is looking for a buyer for the Craythorne course in Burton-upon-Trent.

A guide price of £1.15 million has been set for the freehold property, which is being offered to the market as the current owner is retiring and relocating abroad.

The Craythorne is an undulating eighteen hole course, measuring 5,642 yards. The facility includes a 13 bay floodlit drivng  range; practice facilities and a greenkeeping complex, plus a substantial pub-house with lounge bar, restaurant and four function rooms. The club opened in 1972.

GVA Humberts say the Craythorne’s business mix is approximately 67 per cent food and beverage revenue, with 33 per cent coming from membership, green fee and range income.
