German golf trade fair returns

The second Deutsche Golfplatztage (German Golf Course Days) will take place in Nuremberg this September. The event will be part of the GaLaBau 2010 trade fair for the design, construction and maintenance of green spaces.

Around 1,000 exhibitors are expected to attend the main fair, which is being held at the NürnbergMesse from 15-18 September. 61,929 trade visitors from Germany and abroad were counted at the last GaLaBau in 2008.

“More than 90 per cent of the space used at the previous event is already booked four months before GaLaBau. The signs are good for building on the record result of 2008 – despite the difficult economic situation,” says Rolf Keller, a member of the management board at NürnbergMesse.

The Deutsche Golfplatztage show is being organised in conjunction with Bundesverband Golfanlagen, Deutscher Golf Verband, Golf Management Verband Deutschland, Greenkeeper Verband Deutschland and the Professional Golfers Association.
