Harbottle busy on West Coast

Seattle-based architect John Harbottle, ASGCA has begun work on a renovation of White Horse Golf Club in Kingston, Washington.

Harbottle says he is using a soft touch to preserve the original design of the Suquamish Tribe-owned course, while making modifications that will allow players to better use the terrain to their advantage. The course was originally designed by Cynthia Dye McGarey. Harbottle says his proposed grading changes proposed will create more opportunity for the ground game and improve playability. The work is scheduled for completion this autumn.

Harbottle also has construction projects underway or ready to commence at the AV Macan-designed Fircrest Golf Club in Tacoma and Manito Golf and Country Club in Spokane, as well in the Los Angeles area at Brookside, Brentwood, El Caballero and San Gabriel Country Clubs.
