Mission Hills adds more floodlights

Mission Hills Golf Club in China has added floodlights to its Duval and Sorenstam courses to facilitate nightime golf.

Floodlight supplier Abacus Lighting has a long history with Mission Hills, having been involved with illuminating the Ernie Els and Jumbo Ozaki courses. For this project, it enlisted its joint venture company, Shanghai Abacus to manufacture the masts locally and install the floodlights.

Abacus's John Anthony says: "Creating the lighting scheme was certainly a challenge, but our rich experience and expertise in floodlighting golf courses around the world ensured we delivered an effective solution."
