Course owner Parks Canada is inviting proposals from private sector firms interested in operating the iconic Highlands Links course in Cape Breton.

Parks Canada has invested significant funds in a restoration of the course back to its original Stanley Thompson design, led by architect Ian Andrew, over the last two years.

Cape Breton golf has been in the news this year with the opening of the new Cabot Links course in the town of Inverness, around three hours drive from Highlands. The nearby Keltic Lodge hotel and resort is included in the proposal.
