Mission Hills and Marriott bosses sign the partnership deal

Chinese golf developer Mission Hills Group is working with hotel operator Marriott International to build two new hotels at the group’s Hainan Island resort.

The proposed hotels, which will be branded as Ritz-Carlton and Renaissance properties, will commence construction early in 2012, with completion planned for the fourth quarter of 2013. Mission Hills is investing around US$300 million in the project, on top of the US$1 billion it has already spend on the ten-course resort.

By combining our areas of expertise, we will provide the ultimate high-end golf and holiday experience.”  

The Ritz-Carlton hotel n will adopt a Spanish hacienda theme, contrasting with the volcanic landscape and lava rock formations of the nearby Blackstone course. The facility will include 180 rooms, 20 villas, one presidential villa, a spa and a 

Ritz-Carlton Golf Clubhouse. The Renaissance hotel will feature 300 rooms.
