Sequoyah National to open next week

 

Sequoyah National's sixth hole

The Sequoyah National course at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel in North Carolina, USA, will open on Tuesday 1 September.

The course, designed the by Robert Trent Jones II firm in association with Native American golf pro Notah Begay III, is owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and managed by Troon Golf.

The 6,700 yard Sequoyah National course is set against the backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. 

Harrah's Cherokee is currently undergoing a US$633 million expansion. The project is believed to be the largest hospitality expansion project underway in the south-east of the US.
