Tetherow opening set for late July

Tetherow Golf Club in Bend, Oregon, USA has set the opening date of its course for 26 July. The David McLay Kidd-designed course will form the centrepiece of a 700-acre golf resort community currently under development on Bend's Westside.

The course layout features Kidd's signature design traits that encourage elements of links-style play such as playing the game along the ground as well as in the air. The course's routing is designed to harmonise with the natural terrain, while providing a mix of golf holes framed by ragged bunkers, knobs and knolls.

"As we get closer to the opening of Tetherow the excitement both locally and throughout the country continues to grow," said Martin Chuck, director of golf at Tetherow. "The striking design that David McLay Kidd has created, combined with the stunning scenery and exceptional agronomic standards will create one of the most unique and memorable golf experiences in the region."
