Troon to manage Sequoyah National

Troon Golf has been appointed to manage Sequoyah National Golf Club, a Robert Trent Jones Jr course located in Cherokee, North Carolina. The course is scheduled to open in September.

The course features views of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which shapes the property’s northern boundary. The 600-room Harrah’s Cherokee Hotel & Casino is located nearby in the heart of the Cherokee Indian homeland. “Sequoyah National is a wonderful addition to our portfolio,” said Hud Hinton, Troon’s president and COO.

Sequoyah National joins Whirlwind Golf Club at Wild Horse Pass and Talking Stick Golf Club, both located in Arizona, as well as Yocha-De-He Golf Club at Cache Creek Casino Resort in California and Lake of Isles in Connecticut, to become one of five Troon Golf properties owned by a Native American tribe.
