Our soil and sand blends have been developed over many years to provide the most effective drainage, to increase resilience and to maintain the appearance and evenness of playing surfaces. Our root zone materials encourage excellent fairway grass quality, density and absorption; our top dressings help greens become more resilient and achieve better texture and colour; and in the bunkers our washed and graded silica sand is the ideal consistency, neither so hard that the ball bounces or too soft that the ball plugs.

BSS products are produced through a meticulous testing procedure and can also detect potential causes and solutions to problems such as poor drainage.

In response to market demand, BSS has developed Re-Root, a brand new environmentally-friendly alternative to non-organic root zone. Re-root delivers all the benefits of root zone with the added bonus of providing natural nutrients to the soil. This operates as an organic fertiliser which sustains nutrition, enhances root growth and reduces nutrient losses by leaching.
