Cameron Powell has been providing a design, development and management consultancy service for golf, hotel and leisure projects since 1981. It is best known for the courses on São Miguel island in the Azores at Batalha and particularly Furnas – which is rated by the Pocket Guide to Golf Courses as the joint best course in the whole of Spain and Portugal. At the 2007 IAGTO Awards, a panel of international golf journalists rated the Azores as one of the best undiscovered golfing destinations in the world.

The company recently completed remodelling and extending the classic Mackenzie Ross 9 hole par 32 short course at Campo de Golfe Vidago Palace into a full 18 hole par 72 international resort course, as part of the five star Vidago Palace hotel, spa and golf redevelopment.
