Clyde Johnston Designs provides professional golf course design services for private, resort and public developers primarily in North American and Europe. It limits its workload to two or three projects at a time in order to give sufficient attention to each project. Clyde Johnston is a member and past president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects.

Courses designed by the company are designed to be fair yet challenging tests of golf, which use classic design features and strategies. It prefers to limit the amount of earthmoving and design the golf holes around the natural lay of the land to feature and highlight the site’s natural beauty. Design style varies with each site, as every site is different from the last. Clyde Johnston Designs’ goal is to deliver a beautiful course that is fun to play, reasonable to maintain and meets the desires and budget of its client.
