Born in Italy in 1945, Luigi Rota Caremoli has been involved professionally in the golf industry since 1962. Following 20 years managing construction and maintenance at the famous Golf Club Villa d’Este, Caremoli turned to golf design and in 1983 he set up his own company Golf and Gardens.

Golf and Gardens is a company made up of a team of engineers covering all aspects of architecture. Caremoli’s philosophy – to conserve the natural landscape of each site while incorporating the strategy of golf without forgetting costs and maintenance – is based on his vast experience in golf developments and comes through in all of his projects. To date, he has completed more than 30 golf course projects across Italy, France and the Caribbean.
