Limagrain UK is soon to launch its new brand name and introduce new premium brands MM and Designer.

The MM range will include the new MM8 fine fescue mixture, which is suitable for all golf and bowling greens, the mix is very disease and drought tolerant that also requires lower nutrient and water requirements than some other greens mixtures making it very suitable for use in a sustainable golf environment. Also being launched are the new leading perennial ryegrasses Madrid and Milan, Malibu and Venice.

Madrid is a leading perennial ryegrass for use in all high-wear situations and has leading performance for recovery. Milan will also be fully available for the first time this year. It performs similarly to Madrid, with outstanding all-round performance in high wear sports areas and also in medium to fine turf use.

Malibu and Venice perennial ryegrasses are Limagrain’s two other cultivars for 2009. These are particularly suitable for golf tee and fairway use as both are fine leaved with high shoot density. Venice also has leading disease resistance characteristics.
The new Designer range includes a wide variety of mixtures suitable for landscape, sport and general amenity use.

Both the MM and Designer range also benefit from being ‘Headstart Treated.’ This is an innovative biological seed treatment, which can boost seed germination and establishment rates significantly.
