Holger Rengstorf has been specialising in golf course design since 1993 and offers comprehensive services covering all aspects of design. This includes the design of new courses as well as modification or remodelling of existing courses. Rengstorf Golf Design has already completed numerous golf courses in Germany – most recently it expanded the championship course Golf Gut Glinde. Together with William W. Amick, an experienced golf course architect in the US, Holger Rengstorf works internationally in eastern Europe and along the Mediterranean.

Design down to the very last detail and on all levels is how Holger Rengstorf sums up his philosophy. His main aim is to create golf courses, which are fair but challenging for players of all handicaps. He attaches particular importance to 3D visualisation, as such he not only plans the length and width of the fairways but also models the heights of the ground in detail.

The German designer also pays particular attention to the design of the green: “The green complex, the surrounding bunkers and the other neighbouring elements such as water, hills and mounds, are frequently neglected. Yet, this is precisely where the golf player spends most of his time and requires the most strokes.”
