The PGA works with developers of new golf facilities, or existing owners, to license the PGA brand to those meeting its criteria. Commercial advantages result from applying the PGA brand and utilising its global contacts.

Formed in 1901, the PGA brand is internationally and immediately recognised and respected. The PGA seeks to act as custodians for the traditions of golf whilst identifying and fulfilling the golfing and business needs of its members and commercial partners and promoting golf for all.

The PGA licences three core brands on a selective basis to world class facilities:

1. “PGA National”: only one per country, e.g. PGA National at The Belfry, host to four Ryder Cups;

2. “PGA Golf Course”: e.g. PGA Centenary Course, Gleneagles: 2014 Ryder Cup venue and part of PGA National Scotland; and

3. “PGA Golf Academy”: coaching, education and practice focussed, e.g. PGA Golf Academy, Bayhood No.9, Beijing China.

The PGA’s extensive experience and vast contacts in the world of golf enables it to assist a developer or owner in all elements of a project or facility, ranging from design and conceptual planning to ongoing marketing and advice.

The PGA is the brand in golf.
