Whitemoss Eco is the UK’s leading supplier of high quality, specification focused sustainable materials used in the construction and maintenance of golf courses and other natural sports surfaces.

The range includes both standard (USGA and UK specification) and bespoke rootzones, topdressings, sports and bunker sands, and prescription mixed soils. Bespoke designer mixes, such as ‘Celtic’, ‘Birkdale’ and ‘Latymer’ were designed to meet specific customer requirements, but are now available generally.  Whitemoss has also produced a special links course bunker sand.

In 2000 Whitemoss launched its ‘Green’ ranges of materials, which are mixed using certified green compost as the organic amendment.  The company remains the UK leader in this area and continues to pioneer and further develop its ‘Green’ ranges.

Whitemoss is also the UK distributor of BunkerMat, a three-dimensional sand retention and drainage matting,  which offers greater bunker design options while decreasing bunker maintenance requirements.

The open structure of the BunkerMat fibres traps sand, enabling it to be held in place on steeper bunker slopes whilst allowing the internal movement of water.  The effect is to prevent bunker face erosion.  BunkerMat also acts as a filtration barrier, limiting the migration of fines from the subsoil and preventing contamination of the bunker sand.
