Architect Roy Bechtol has struck a partnership with golf management and consulting firm Southern Golf Properties. Bechtol will bring a designer's eye to the range of courses that Southern manages. In addition, if any course needs remodelling Bechtol will consult on the alterations.
"I am excited about working with Southern. There are a lot of ways we can help each other," said Bechtol. "Having a management team associated with a golf course project from day one is a crucial step toward success in this industry and especially in this economy. Southern and its principals have shown they have the chops to make golf courses work and thrive." "Our goals are to provide a consistent experience that is unparalleled in our industry and to be recognised as a leader in facility management and development," said Bryan Gathright, president of Southern Golf Properties.
"Partnering with Roy is one of the ways we will reach our goals. We are excited and honoured that he will be working with us and sharing his expertise with our team."
