Bobby Weed Golf Course Design has completed a renovation of the Golden Marsh course at the Harbour Ridge Yacht Country Club in Palm City, Florida, with the course to reopen on 15 November.

“Members will enjoy and recognise the John Dodge-developed project and the original 1984 Joe Lee-designed Golden Marsh layout,” said Weed. “The updated course has more enhanced native features and coquina rock walls, along with greater variety and visual appeal.”

Construction began in April 2018 with Classic Golf and Nutt Irrigation as contractors.

The project included reconstructing the green complexes; updating the appearance and placement of the bunkers; re-grassing throughout the course; installing a new irrigation system; clearing underbrush from rough and out-of-play areas; and replacing acres of maintained, irrigated turf with pine straw and coquina shell.

Harbour Ridge is also home to the River Ridge course, designed by Weed’s mentor Pete Dye and P.B. Dye.
