Billy Casper Golf is to manage the new 1757 Golf Club in northern Virginia. The course, originally known as The Presidential Golf Club but renamed by its new owner after the project collapsed, opens next year.

The company has been appointed to direct course construction, maintenance, staffing and training, clubhouse operations, golf instruction, marketing and public relations, special events and financial management.

The 1757 Club will be a public course, with the driving range available as of 15 May, and the first nine opening in late May. The full course, designed by architect David Heatwole, formerly with Nicklaus Design, is slated for opening in spring 2010.

“We will introduce 1757 Golf Club as a daily fee course with premium golf experiences at price points slightly below market,” says BCG chairman Peter Hill. “We take great pride in completing and launching this golf course and practice facility, paying keen attention to detail in course layout and conditions, and customer service.” The course is routed through gently rolling terrain with elevation changes of up to 30 feet.
