Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design has been selected to lead a renovation of the course at Little Mountain Country Club in Concord, Ohio.

Little Mountain opened in 2000 and Jason Straka, who will direct the renovation, worked on the original design while at the Hurdzan/Straka firm.

“I look forward to working with my longtime friends at Little Mountain to restore the beauty and glory of the course,” said Straka.

The renovation will involve numerous changes to help improve the course’s playability and attract a wider range of the golfing public to Little Mountain, including more women and children.

Straka intends to develop a faster and more enjoyable round for players, as well as improve the course’s conditioning.

The bunkers will be redesigned as part of the work, and improvements to clearing lines will make the course more enjoyable from a visual perspective for players.

“The course will remain open during the renovation,”said Jimmy Hanlin, PGA, director of golf at Little Mountain CC. “Construction will begin in August and should be complete by the end of the year. We all are excited about the project and already are envisioning what our beautifully renovated golf course will look like.”
