Registration for this year’s KPMG Golf Business Forum, to be held in Dubai from 17-19 April, is now open.

KPMG says this year’s event will focus on the changing global marketplace and hear how successful developers are re-emerging from the economic downturn, how leading owners and operators weathered the storm, why investors and private equity funds are now actively targeting golf developments and where the global growth markets are.

Keynote speakers include Dr David Chu, chairman of Chinese golf giant Mission Hills. KPMG golf practice head Andrea Sartori said: “One of the key aims of the Golf Business Forum is to create an opportunity for delegates to do business, spend quality time with prospective clients, and network with key influencers from the world of golf. This year’s event in Dubai will focus on the re-emergence of the golf business from the economic downturn and highlight global growth opportunities.”

More than 250 delegates are expected to attend. The venue, Park Hyatt Dubai, is adjacent to the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. Special rates are available to GBF delegates, subject to availability. The basic registration fee to the event is €1,500. Those who register before 21 February will get a ten per cent discount. For more information about the event, visit the GBF site or email the organisers.
