American architect Lester George is moving ahead to create detailed construction plans for the second course at the Lushan International club in China’s Jiangxi province.

George produced a masterplan for the course, which is in the city of Jiujiang, near the world heritage site of Mount Lushan, a year and a half ago, but the project has been on hold since then. Now, developer AVIC, is ready to move forward with the project.

Lushan already has the semi-private North course; George’s South course is intended to be fully private. “We plan to start construction this summer and open the course in 2015, though no concrete dates have yet been set,” George told GCA.
