Golfplan building course in Bataan

Filipino firm Ayala Land, the country’s largest real estate developer, is investing PHP 1 billion (US$23 million) to build a new golf course as part of its Anvaya Cove development in the province of Bataan. California-based design house Golfplan is the architect for the project.

Eighty hectares of the 300ha seaside development  have been reserved for golf. Shares in the club, which went on sale in late January, are on offer for PHP 1.5 million (US$34,000). Anvaya’s beach and country club opened in 2008, and has around 16,000 members.

The first nine holes are set to be completed by the end of ths year, with the other nine following nine following in 2012. The clubhouse should be open in 2013.
