Texas course Grand Lake Golf Club reopens today after a green enhancement program including the conversation of the original putting surfaces to TifEagle bermuda grass.

“We are excited to open all 18 holes of Grand Lake Golf Club and are positive that area golfers will appreciate the new green surfaces,” said Cody Spivey, general manager at the course, which is located just outside Houston.

“TifEagle is a third generation bermuda that can offer improved putting speeds and consistency. This strain of turf has proven itself to be a superior bermuda putting surface and is more hearty then the prior grasses that were used at Grand Lake. In fact, this turf will grow even better in heat and humidity and will provide for more consistent conditions year round,” said Spivey.

Grand Lake is managed by Scottsdale-based OB Sports Golf Management.
