Scottish-based firm International Turf Company has been appointed by architects European Golf Design to provide agronomic and other advice on its upcoming project to build a golf course next to the global headquarters of JCB in Staffordshire, England.

International Turf principal Jonathan Pendry has already been involved in the project, providing initial consulting services to JCB itself during the course of 2013.

Pendry said: “The new JCB course is one of the most anticipated golf projects in the world, and we’re delighted to be working with the company and EGD on it. We will be working with Robin Hiseman and the EGD team on soils management and hydrology, as well as making recommendations on the best agronomic options for the site.”

Project architect Robin Hiseman of European Golf Design added: “As well as a strong track record of excellent agronomic advice, International Turf Company has specific experience of organic golf course development, which is a core part of JCB’s vision for the golf course. We look forward to working with them at this outstanding project.”
