The town of Ledbury in the west of England may be about to get a new leisure resort, with a golf course listed as part of the project.

The Alexander Park development, on a 140 acre site at Pixley, between Ledbury and Hereford, is now underway, with the first phase, a health club, already open. A driving range will open in the next few months, with facilities for weddings and conferences to follow as part of phase two.

Phase three includes the 18-hole golf course, slated to open in time for the 2012 season, plus a clubhouse with a restaurant and accommodation. A rainwater harvesting system is planned to irrigate the course.
