The new Turtle Dunes course in Acapulco, Mexico, has opened for play.

Designed by American architect Tripp Davis and managed by Troon, Turtle Dunes is part of the masterplanned Princess Diamante community.

Located alongside the Fairmont Acapulco Princess and Pierre Marques hotels, Turtle Dunes will be accessible to hotel guests as well as its members. The course’s facilities include a fitness centre and the world’s first Lorena Ochoa-branded golf academy.

Davis and his team gave special attention to recreating the rolling sand dunes that once defined the landscape. The course measures 7,250 yards.

Turtle Dunes is currently offering 200 founder memberships; after these are sold out, memberships will only be available only to those who own real estate in Princess Diamante.
