Nicklaus Design has been hired to design the Stillwater at Mystic Ridge course in Tennessee.

The golf course is scheduled to open for play in summer 2011 and will remain a daily fee public course, although annual golf memberships will be offered to lot and home owners.

“The cachet of the Nicklaus Design name and reputation will be a significant asset for Stillwater at Mystic Ridge in attracting golfers, real estate buyers, and will provide a venue for regional and national golf tournaments,” said Scott Scheel, a principal for In Tune Development, the developer of Mystic Ridge.

In addition to adding the Nicklaus Design golf course brand to its project, Stillwater at Mystic Ridge has selected Weitz Golf, the largest golf community contractor in the US, to complete the course, clubhouse, and spine and lot infrastructure.

Stillwater also includes 482 single family lots, a 22,000 sq ft clubhouse, and a variety of natural amenities throughout the community.
