Work is ongoing at the Silo Ridge Field Club, with the first nine-hole of the redesigned course near Amenia, New York State, set to open for play later this year.

Fazio Design is working with developers Discovery Land Company to create a redesigned course at the site to replace the original Al Zikorus-designed course that opened back in 1992.

Logan Fazio provided GCA with an update on the work the Fazio Design firm is carrying out at the club.

“We currently have approximately four and a half holes grassed, as well as the range,” said Fazio. “Nine holes will open for play later this year.”

“Construction will continue into 2016, with the course in its entirety opening for play later that year,” he added.

Fazio also said that the firm is in the permitting processes stage of a brand new project named The Hills, which is located in East Quogue on Long Island in New York State. More details of this project will be revealed soon.
