Golf developer and operator Oceânico is about to complete a programme of refurbishments to its Laguna course at Vilamoura in Portugal.

The course, designed by American Joe Lee and opened in 1990, has undergone a re-grassing programme, extensive top dressing to fairways to improve quality and playability as well as an elaborate tree remodelling programme. As with the rest of the Vilamoura courses, it is managed on Oceânico's behalf by Troon Golf.

“This is the first phase of a three year plan that will see improved surface conditions and a fresh overall look to the Laguna course. We are committed to making sure each and every course maintains a standard that visitors associate with our venues,” said Chris Stilwell, CEO of Oceânico Golf.
