A new seeded seashore paspalum is now available on the worldwide market.
Developed by Pure Seed and distributed by Atlas Turf International, Pure Dynasty turfgrass offers an improved seeded paspalum product for golf courses and sports fields.
As a seeded paspalum blend, Pure Dynasty offers fast establishment, tighter density, better disease resistance and improved spring green-up.
Thanks to the fact Platinum TE is one of its genetic parents, Pure Dynasty offers the benefits of vegetative paspalum such as salt tolerance once mature, as well as quick recovery and an upright growth habit, helping deliver excellent playability.
“Pure Dynasty takes the best attributes from its parents and combines into a more diversified product,” said plant breeder Crystal Rose-Fricker of Pure Seed. “The advantages of the Pure Dynasty blend allow for broader application to varying climates and soil types.”
Pure Dynasty allows maximum flexibility of mow heights and its durability means it is suitable for use on tees, fairways, roughs and greens.
One venue already taking advantage of Pure Dynasty is the Jose Maria Olazabal-designed Velaa Golf Academy in the Maldives.

“As we faced import regulations on traditional stolons amongst other logistic challenges, Pure Dynasty, with its high salinity resistance as well as its proven drought and disease resistance, is the perfect fit for Velaa Golf Academy,” said Anton Ortner, senior design associate at Olazabal Design. “On top of that, Pure Dynasty provides the course with a striking contrasting bright green colour, and the medium-fine texture ensures great playing conditions from tee to green.”
Other global locations where Pure Dynasty is being introduced include the Golf de Deva resort in New Caledonia, Summit Hills Golf Course in Calabar, Nigeria, and grow-in is nearly complete at the Bukit Pandawa Executive Golf Club in Bali, Indonesia.
“I fully recommend Pure Dynasty,” said Bukit Pandawa golf course superintendent Don Ellsworth. “What I like most about this turf is the ease of planting, the awesome colour, the texture, and the fact that I can use it for everything on the course.”
