Grandvalira Golf Club, the highest course in Europe, located 2,250m above sea level in the heart of the Pyrenees, has taken a package of Ransomes Jacobsen turf maintenance equipment from Spanish distributor Green Mowers of Burgos.

The nine-hole course, designed by French-based course architect Jeremy Pern, is 2,590 metres in length and features 31 bunkers. It also has a 15-bay driving range and a dedicated practice area.

Construction began back in 2007 and the course was opened last September 2008. Golf can be played from late May to October, when the snow has disappeared and it is a further amenity at the resort which is renowned as the skiing capital of Andorra.
