Renovations are underway at the Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto, Florida.

Originally designed by architect Ron Garl, the course will be closed until August while work is carried out.

The work at Buffalo Creek will see the introduction of TifEagle bermudagrass on the greens. Some work will also be carried out on the course’s bunkers and improvements made to drainage.

The course is owned by Pope Golf, and the firm’s president Jerry Moore told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune: “These are maintenance items we can't do when the course is open. We will reopen the first half of August, depending on the weather. When we reopen, people should see tremendous improvement to the golf course.”
