Tom Hoch has launched a new international client services division to establish a platform for expansion into Europe and Asia.

The firm has selected UK-based Jerry Kilby, founder of Kanda Golf Marketing Services and former PGA marketing manager, to facilitate entry into the market and serve the needs of clubs worldwide.

"Jerry's depth and breadth of knowledge of the international golf industry will enable us to better assess and serve the needs of European and Asian clubs," said Hoch. "Through the partnership with Jerry, we will adapt our revenue-based design model and other disciplines to the global club environment."

"Tom Hoch is one of the most trusted and innovative designers in the industry, and we look forward to establishing and growing the brand worldwide," said Kilby. "Golf has truly emerged as a global game. Each market has unique challenges that extend to the built environment and the need to ensure clubhouses fit the business needs of the club and its members are more important today than perhaps ever before. The Tom Hoch platform is scalable to these complex situations."

The international client services division enables Tom Hoch to build on the market foothold it has secured via work with PGA National Russia at Zavidovo Golf and Lake Resort. The firm recently completed the space plan for the three-level clubhouse 65 miles northwest of Moscow.

Tom Hoch developed an integrated-site plan, interior space plan, and amenity programme for the English Arts and Crafts-style building, the centrepiece of the 7,400-yard championship golf course. All work was completed remotely from the company's headquarters in Oklahoma City in conjunction with Braemar Golf.
