Troon has been selected as the new manager of the Cimarron Hills Golf and Country Club in Georgetown, Texas.

The Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course lies just outside Austin and takes advantage of its proximity to the south fork of the San Gabriel River and artefacts from the original ranch it was built on. The course runs 7,302 yards from back tees and 5,059 from forward tees, and the Cimarron Hills clubhouse covers 45,000 square feet.

“Cimarron Hills Golf and Country Club is truly an exceptional community that offers members a unique and desirable lifestyle,” said Ryan Walls, senior vice president of Troon operations. “We are honoured to work closely with the Desert Troon development team and we are confident that our management practices will contribute positively to the experience of the members and guests.”

Cimarron Hills will now form part of the Troon Privé portfolio, enabling members of the club to play at 30 other clubs in the programme, as well as having access to cheaper rates at over 85 resort and daily-fee properties that comprise the Troon Advantage programme.

“This is an exciting period for Cimarron Hills as we prepare the final stages of re-launching the project with new residential opportunities,” stated Gary Elbogen, vice president and general counsel, Desert Troon Companies. “Adding Troon as part of the team was a critical component of our strategy. Under our leadership and direction, the Troon Privé team will continue to build upon the lifestyle offering that complements our goals – so we could not be any more excited about what the future holds.”
