Turf maintenance equipment firm Ransomes Jacobsen has been appointed the sole UK importer for the Mega Professional range of road homologated compact utility vehicles.

The agreement, signed recently between Aixam Mega, based at Aix-les-Bains in the Rhône-Alpes region of south eastern France, and Ransomes Jacobsen, will see the Ipswich-based company marketing the new range, which includes the Mega e-Worker electric truck and Multitruck 600 low emission diesel truck.

At the signing, Rupert Price, sales director at Ransomes Jacobsen said: “There is a real synergy between Aixam Mega’s extensive range of eco vehicles and our E-Z-GO golf buggies and Cushman vehicles. We have subsumed the existing Mega dealer networker into our distribution and will be actively looking to establish more touch points across the UK.”

Aixam Mega’s Gilles Géry said: “Ransomes Jacobsen has an excellent understanding of the light industrial vehicle sector and extensive knowledge of electric vehicles through its E-Z-GO and Cushman brands, and latterly with its all-electric ride-on greens mower.”
