Project management firm IGRM has handed over the completed Laguna Lang Co course in Vietnam over to the developers to prepare for opening.

Laguna Lang Co, designed by Nick Faldo's practice, has been in development for several years. IGRM oversaw the development of the course, practice facilities and all golf-related infrastructure, plus advising on maintenance facilities, equipment and grass procurement.

Located in a 280-acre beachfront site within an hour’s drive of Da Nang and Phu Bai international airports, the Laguna Hue development is set to become one of the premier integrated resorts and second-home destinations in Vietnam. In addition to the golf course, Laguna Hue will eventually boast seven hotels, a spa, resort residences and a town centre with retail and recreational facilities.

“The Laguna Lang Co course at Laguna Hue has been an extremely challenging, yet rewarding, project,” said IGRM director Steve Clement. “To build a golf course within 18 months is a rare achievement in South East Asia and we are incredibly proud to leave the project in such an advanced state that the client is happy to now undertake all the finishing responsibilities.”

“We depart safe in the knowledge that the remaining golf course works are in the capable hands of the main contractor TEHC and will be completed to the same exacting standards that IGRM has established. The experience gained working on this multi-million dollar project will prove invaluable.”

Following the completion of Laguna Hue, IGRM will concentrate on its other existing projects, which include the soon-to-be-opened Harrow Park Golf Club in Abuja, Nigeria the Villafranca Golf Resort in northern Tuscany, and the Rio de Janeiro International Resort in Brazil, which is in the final stages of planning with construction expected to start shortly.
