Veteran golf consultant Richard Wax of Golf Surveys has announced a new working partnership with Elmwood College in St Andrews.

Wax’s Golf Surveys has been involved in developments like Kingsbarns and The Grove. He plans to work with Elmwood on best practice and on projects such as the Eurotunnel Links Development in France and other new designs globally.

Wax said: “I am delighted to be combining our complementary expertise with Elmwood. Their knowledge of management, greenkeeping and coaching is world class. Together we will be able to offer developers completely independent advice that will see that best practice and sustainability is at the forefront of new designs.”

The partnership is also working on the St Andrews World Golf Forum event in October, where, Wax says, some of the most knowledgeable people in golf will come together to discuss the future of golf, the spirit of the game and to share their expertise. “The information gathered from this new Forum will create a unique knowledge centre that will be working for the greater good of golf which will be made freely available to all 32,000 golf clubs worldwide. Every spring the Forum will gather at unique locations around the world to receive feedback on how their ideas have been put into practice. The first spring gathering is planned for China 2012,” he added.
