Issue 51 of Golf Course Architecture features on its cover a shot of Adare Manor in Ireland. Fazio Design has recently renovated the golf course at the resort in County Limerick, so Toby Ingleton paid a visit to see how it turned out.

This issue’s lead feature examines how the field of golf course architecture might change between now and 2030. Adam Lawrence speaks with a number of designers to get their thoughts.

In tee box, GCA visits Danzante Bay in Mexico to see the completed course, which has been designed by Rees Jones. We also speak to architect Tim Lobb, and take a look at Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects’ recent project list.

Also in this issue, architect Ian Andrew explains why he thinks restoration projects may soon be a thing of the past, Ross McMurray discusses how the concept of kaleidoscope golf has been incorporated into the design of a new golf course in Russia, and is innovation and golf on a collision course? Huxley Golf’s Paul Chester doesn’t think so.

GCA also reports back from recent trips to Rolling Hills in Los Angeles, Aguilón Golf in southern Spain, and Skövde Golfklubb in Sweden.
