The Cougar Point course at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort is the be renovated as part of a project led by the Gary Player Design Company.

The project will see regrassing the greens, tees and fairways with Paspalum grasses. Tee boxes will be laser leveled, and bunkers throughout the course will be rebuilt.

Updates will also be made to the irrigation at the course at the resort, which lies approximately 20 miles south of Charleston in South Carolina.

The work on the Cougar Point course follows on from similar projects in recent years on the resort’s Ocean, Osprey Point and Oak Point courses.

The renovation will commence on 28 November, and reopening is scheduled for October 2017.
