US's second largest golf operator commended for environmental practices.

Billy Casper Golf, the US’s second largest golf course owner and operator, with a portfolio of 113 facilities in 25 states, has been recognised for its environmentally-sensitive agronomic practices by conservation group Audubon International.
All of BCG’s courses are enrolled in the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, with 40 already being certified by the organisation. Certification asserts that courses successfully maintain sound environmental practices in six key areas: environmental planning, wildlife and habitat management, outreach and education, chemical use reduction and safety, water conservation, and water quality management.
“Following the sound guidance of Audubon International allows our agronomic staff across the Billy Casper Golf portfolio to better understand the ecological impact of a golf course,” said Bryan Bielecki, BCG’s vice president of agronomy.
