Developer Villar Group has appointed Curley-Wagner Golf Design to create a new golf in Villar City, a 3,500-hectare planned development that spans 13 cities and towns across Metro Manila and Cavite in the Philippines.

The 18-hole golf course will be built on a 65-hectare parcel that features open meadows, areas of mature vegetation, rolling terrain, elevation changes and two natural stream systems that flank the eastern and western edges of the property.

“The site’s natural features and inspiring character will be integral in the creation of an extraordinary sequence of golf holes,” said architect Jim Wagner. “We are enthusiastic to immediately begin exploring the masterplanning and routing phase for the project. The site’s attributes along with Villar Group’s commitment to quality, innovation and hospitality is something we value immensely, and we are thrilled to be partnering with them to create an elevated golfing experience that will bring people together to enjoy the great game of golf within an urban setting”.

Curley-Wagner will begin creating a masterplan soon and will also design practice facilities and a short-game area.
