Shangri La Golf Club will reopen next spring following a redesign of its championship course.

Located in Monkey Island, Oklahoma, the course has been reworked by the Ault, Clark & Associates firm.

The project has taken place over the course of two years, and was visited as part of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) Conference in May this year.

Ault, Clark & Associates has designed courses at the Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club in Virginia, Creekmoor Golf Club in Missouri and the Yorktown course at Williamsburg National club, also in Virginia.

The firm has previously carried out remodel work on the courses at Cortez Country Club in Arkansas, and Hanover Country Club, which is located in Ashland, Virginia.

The firm’s Tom Clark and Brian Ault have both served as president of the ASGCA.
