A new golf course has opened for play in Dominican Republic.

Designed by a team from Majorca-based Maverick Golf and Construction, the new La Romana Golf Club course forms part of the Playa Nueva Romana development on the southern coastline of the Caribbean country.

Holes seven, eight, sixteen and seventeen run alongside the Caribbean Sea. Holes eleven, twelve and thirteen play around one of the many large lakes that punctuate the site.

The new 18-hole course is complemented by an extensive practice range featuring test bunkers, a chipping green and a putting green.

A nine hole par three course is also available to play, and golfers can also take advantage of the La Romana Golf Academy to help hone their skills.
