More firms earn full membership in builders' association.
Three US golf construction firms have been upgraded to full members of the Golf Course Builders Association of America.
Massachusetts-based East Coast Shaping, Oklahoma firm JonesPlan and the Orlando-headquartered Landirr have all been elevated from Associate Builder to Builder status after meeting the designated qualifications, specifically holding the general contract on a minimum of three golf courses within the last five years.
East Coast Shaping was established by Jim Basiliere, a self-described ‘pro-shaper’. The company is based in Dalton, Massachusetts, but operates as far west as Ohio. Founded in 2003, the Tulsa-based JonesPlan has grown to become a key resource for golf course construction and renovation in the Oklahoma area. Landirr, which has been in operation since 1985, specialises in new construction, renovations and irrigation systems, and services the southeastern United States and the Caribbean. The company also provides management, grow-in and shaping services.
