Firefly, a new luxury golf and resident community in Spring Hill, south of Nashville in Tennessee, has opened its Andrew Green-designed 18-hole championship golf course and nine-hole short layout.
The championship course – the first original design of Green’s career – follows the land’s natural movement and is walkable. Meanwhile, the short course has been created to give players the opportunity to play a range of shots and practice with different clubs.
“Firefly represents the opportunity every architect hopes for, the freedom to study a remarkable piece of land and let its character guide the golf,” said Green. “Our goal was to create a course that feels discovered rather than imposed, with strategy and variety that reward thoughtful play while remaining welcoming to all golfers.”

“Opening Firefly’s golf courses is a defining moment for our members and the culmination of years of vision, collaboration and exacting work,” said Mark Enderle, partner at Storied Development, the developer leading the Firefly project with Wheelock Street Capital. “Andrew Green and his team have created something timeless and truly of this land.”
The private community’s golf facilities will also include a practice field, three short-game greens, an 18,000-square-foot putting green and a teaching facility with Trackman technology, two indoor/outdoor hitting bays and a SAM putting lab.
