Trump International Golf Links, Scotland has filed its outline planning application to Aberdeenshire Council for proposed resort facilities including the hotel, clubhouse, golf practice facilities, holiday homes and golf lodges as well as additional resort amenities.

The final environmental assessment studies will not be complete until January 2007, due to the intricacies of this project and the expansive nature of the 1,300-acre property under consideration. It is essential that a thorough and detailed assessment be undertaken which will include studies of ecology (encompassing birds, wildlife, fungi, lichen and entomology), geomorphology, and archaeology.

If successful, the two 18-hole championship courses are expected to undergo construction in Summer 2007, with projected opening for spring 2009.
