ASGCA honours Awtrey and Seay

Former PGA of America boss Jim Awtrey has been honoured with the prestigious Donald Ross Award from the ASGCA.

Former PGA of America boss Jim Awtrey was honoured with the prestigious Donald Ross Award from the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) during its recent annual meeting in Pinehurst.

During the meeting, which GCA attended, the ASGCA also honoured its own former president and co-founder of Palmer Course Design Ed Seay with ASGCA president with its Distinguished Service Award. Mark Adam, president of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects, gave a presentation to the conference on the state of the European golf market, and other seminars touched on issues such as the impact of technology on golf, and the environment.
