Thracian Cliffs Golf and Spa Resort has hired British contracting and management firm Braemar Golf to complete construction of its 18 hole Gary Player designed course.

Braemar is also expected to set up and manage the golf course operations when it opens for play in 2010.

The Player course is located along 4,500m of the Kaliakra cliff on Bulgaria's Northern Black Sea coast. Gary Player said of the course: "The dramatic nature of the Thracian Cliffs site, from the white cliffs to having holes right on the Black Sea, will allow this course to rival any golf experience in the world, including Pebble Beach." Braemar director Jonathan Pendry told GCA: "I really believe this is one of the most astonishing sites for a golf course that I have ever seen."
